There was once an 80 year old lady that wrote a small article that eluded to the fact if she knew she was going to live to be that old, she would have worn the color purple more, climbed more trees and been more daring in her everyday life.
Best to do it all, as we are only here a short time.
I only wish I could be more like her....and not so careful all the time.

I think that you can burn in so many different ways, and sometimes you have to burn for others. I don't get to burn for myself anymore (at least not as much as I used to)--now I have to burn for a child. And I have to say, that feels good.

i miss Jack Kerouac, even though he died so far before my time. wish there were more poets/writers like him now, saying the things and living the life he lived.

i heard Coppola's producing a movie based on "On the Road" with the guy who did "The Motorcycle Diaries" writing/directing. hope they don't eff it up.
